jow-: Can you please post the output of "mount" and "dmesg" after boot? |
bluewavenet: Hi Jo-Phillipp \ DE \ / Reboot (17.01.0-rc2, r3131-42f3c1f) root@LEDE: |
bluewavenet: @Jo-Phillipp I have worked round this by removing the CF card and mounting on my laptop where I deleted existing partitions then flashed the image using DD. It now works perfectly as far as I can see so far. Is this issue likely to be unique to the x86 image? The next item on my list is to try a Ubiquiti AirGateway where the only options are sysupgrade or tftp. |
bluewavenet: @Jo-Philipp Wich I can confirm this is a very definite problem with the squashfs image in that it uses f2fs rather than jffs2 for the overlay and any changes to files are NOT committed to flash, ie revert after a reboot (although very occasionally it DOES work). Reflashing with the ext4 image, all works as expected. |
This issue is for a EOL release, please comment if this bug still affects you in currently supported releases. |

Boots fine.
Any software installed or files copied to flash disappear after reboot.
However LAN ethernet IP address is (usually)remembered but did get reset on one occasion.
But WiFi config of a USB dongle is always lost.
The board has a Lexar 16GB UDMA7 CF card. This config works fine with OpenWrt CC.
Reflashing, changing the flash card etc makes no difference.
