Why not config MODULE_COMPRESS to save user partition space?

Mijzelf:

The user partition space is already compressed at filesystem level. So compressing the modules will not save (much) space, but it will slow down the loading, as it has to be decompressed twice.

It might even increase the final image size since recompressing already compressed artifacts often introduces further overhead.
