slh:

The image generation of sysupgrade/ factory firmware images stopped working recently (initramfs images are still being built).

Last successful build: r15021-b0ecae504b
failing build: r15064-66732c5cd9

The buildbots seem to struggle the same way: https://downloads.openwrt.org/snapshots/targets/lantiq/xrx200/

Bisecting this issue leads me to https://git.openwrt.org/?p=openwrt/openwrt.git;a=commitdiff;h=9100566267755ea642f08c203d03a9b8f13478c9 "kernel: bump 5.4 to 5.4.79" (confirmed this independently three times), although this doesn't really make sense to me (e.g. I can apply the kernel bump on top of b0ecae5 manually and still end up with functional sysupgrade images). The build log doesn't really enlighten me either.

Current HEAD (respectively >=r15064-66732c5cd9) is building correctly for ipq40xx, ipq806x, ath79 and ath79-tiny though.
