I can confirm that this problem also affects Fritz!Box 7360 v2 and still happens on OpenWrt 21.02.0-rc2.

Update: With subsequent boots of the same image I couldn't reproduce this anymore. I sometimes got one of the timeout messages shown in the bug description, but when the box had fully booted there always was a wlan0 interface.

I had my fritzbox 7360 v2 running for some months. After toggling the wifi via the button - and I think an update to 23.3.3 from 23.3.2 - wifi does not work anymore with same problems.
wifi config is empty and resetting did not resolve the issue neither.

I also see the issue in 22.03-SNAPSHOT

I installed pcitools and tried to run lspci:

root@UFU-FWH-F097-Tinbergen-8-W03:/sys/devices/platform# lspci
root@UFU-FWH-F097-Tinbergen-8-W03:/sys/devices/platform#

Seems like there is no PCI device. So maybe an issue related to PCI in general?

I tested 23.05.2, 22.03.6 and 21.02.0 for 7360sl (which is what openwrt thinks I have) (for avm recovery I need to use the version for v1)
For all wifi was not available in the gui.

Specifically on 21.02.0 I checked the logs and did find the above described pcie_rc_initialize error.
