Then you create backup/update firmware with "keep settings" option, some hardware configuration files stored into backup or keep in system.
It provides quite crazy issues if firmware hardware settings are different, sometimes can even brick device.
For latest release, it's /etc/config/ubootenv and /ect/fw_env.config.
Possible resolution: do not backup this or other hardware configuration-related files, as well as do not keep them at any firmware update.
