FS#2909 - Static and dhcp interfaces don't refresh uptime #7691

The problem is appears with configured dhcp or static interface. When i pull out wan cable, uptime of the interface doesn't refresh, so i forced to use button "restart" for reset uptime counter. I tried it on tp-link archer c7 v2, tp-link tl-wr1043nd with firmwares openWrt 19.07.0.1 and 19.07.0.2
Using pppoe the problem doesn't happen.

This is because WAN is a switch port on this model, so the underlying carrier state is never toggled. There is no way around on this particular board.
