You router is 4/32. There is not enough space to install end user openwrt images (with luci, ipv6 etc) from version 19.07 and above.
"Devices with ≤4MB flash and/or ≤32MB ram will work but they will be very limited (usually they can't install or run additional packages) because they have low RAM and flash space." (from https://openwrt.org/supported_devices/432_warning).
To use ath79 platform, you may consider download openwrt-imagebuilder-ath79-tiny.Linux-x86_64.tar.xz and generate a custom image to fit it in 4Mb flash memory. You can save space removing unused features (pppoe etc)… https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/additional-software/imagebuilder

Check http://downloads.openwrt.org/snapshots/targets/ath79/tiny/ here. All tplink models only have initramfs images, while other models have the right images.
