The problem was discovered while researching a build for a Trendnet TEW-810DR. Both the D-Link and the Trendnet devices use the same hardware and appear to have the same boards.
I made the device severity medium as it still functions but is being underutilized

It's a little strange that this comes up now where the device has been supported for many years and nobody complained so far. So, are you sure that it has always been 16 MiB or is it possible that it's just a variant?
Despite, if this is supposed to be changed, we would need the entire partition table from the DIR-810L with stock firmware. Then you or somebody from the forum could provide a patch for it.
