Supply the following if possible:

  • Device problem occurs on
  • Software versions of OpenWrt/LEDE release, packages, etc.
  • Steps to reproduce

Hi, I am new to OpenWRT and reporting bugs, so I'll do the best I can. I am getting some errors on my TP-Link Archer C60v2. I flashed "openwrt-19.07.0-rc2-ath79-generic-tplink_archer-c60-v2-squashfs-factory.bin" on my device. Everything seems to work, but when I try to run "opkg update" from LuCI I sometimes get this error:

Collected errors: * pkg_hash_add_from_file: Failed to open /var/opkg-lists/openwrt_routing: Out of memory.

Sometimes it works so I upgrade the packages that have updates to them, but when I log in to LuCI I can see the free memory keeps going down. And after some time I am unable to access LuCI at all. Going to the devics's IP in a browser brings me to a blank page with this error:

/usr/lib/lua/luci/dispatcher.lua:315: /etc/config/luci seems to be corrupt, unable to find section 'main' stack traceback: [C]: in function 'assert' /usr/lib/lua/luci/dispatcher.lua:315: in function 'dispatch' /usr/lib/lua/luci/dispatcher.lua:208: in function

A reboot helps temporarily, and I can access LuCI, but I get the same errors again after a few minutes. Reflashing OpenWRT did not help. As a sidenote, I do also have an TP-Link Archer C6v2 as well, and updating packages and LuCl works fine on it. I read that the Archer c60 just got switched from ar71xx to ath79 (I don't understand the details of it much), is this because of that? Because I tried OpenWRT 18.06 (ar71xx) on my Archer c60 a few weeks ago and I did not have these errors then.

i forgot to include this line in the collected errors when I run "opkg update". I can't figure out how to edit the post so I'll add it here.

"The opkg update command failed with code 255."
