I just find out the minimal build of LuCI (uhttpd uhttpd-mod-ubus libiwinfo-lua luci-base luci-app-firewall luci-mod-admin-full luci-theme-bootstrap) doesn't know anything about connection type PPPoE on the interfaces list. It just shows static, dhcp and unmanaged options.
If I bring up the interface with ifdown and ifup, it just works fine. Full LuCI package of course shows these options.
