Trying to flash a new installation of either openWRT (openwrt-18.06.2-mvebu-cortexa9-linksys-wrt1900ac-squashfs-factory.img) or the Davidc variant (lede-mvebu-cortexa9-linksys-wrt1900ac-squashfs-factory.img)from OEM gui fails on Linksys WRT1900AC v1 with firmware version 1.1.10.187766.
To reproduce, attempt to flash either image using the Linksys gui. Go to the "Connectivity" tab. In the area labeled "Manual", choose the image file, and click "Start". According to the gui, the flash is successful and proceeds to restart. The power and ethernet indicators light up for a bit, then the internet flashes orange until the router reboots into the Linksys firmware.
From my research, silent failure like this indicates the flash didn't actually succeed, but I don't have a serial cable or much time to do further diagnosis at the moment.
