The size is too small for many routers now, I have a 512M DDR3 router but only get 16MB.
I made this patch to make the size adaptive and optimized mount option while keeping original rules unchanged.

Any update on this? I have exactly the same problem, that tmp is only 16MB and my router as 4GB available. This makes the system unusable for me.

I have compiled from buildroot but I don't know how to include this patch in my compile. Can I get a few hints?

With more and more RAM on routers, can the severity be raised?
