usbip is not part of the OpenWrt base system. It is maintained as part of the (external/additional) [[https://github.com/openwrt/packages/tree/master/net/usbip|packages feed]] which has its own bugtracker and own set of maintainer/developers.

As far as I can see, there is already a patch pending but not yet merged: openwrt/packages#6062
