I'm seeing something similar on a BT Home Hub 5A. In my case I was getting a tiny amount of throughput, ~0.02Mb/s router->client but the other direction was pretty much OK. After switching to channel 6, everything is still working normally after 24 hours.
I think this is a regression from 17.01.4 as a) I used that for a few days without issue and b) this is quite a popular device in the UK so we'd be seeing more reports.
