ezplanet:

The device is BT Home Hub 5
The release is built from SNAPSHOT r4940-00e9a7a

When the router is rebooted DSL fails to sync/connect automatically
If I execute the following commands:

/etc/init.d/dsl_control stop

and then

/etc/init.d/dsl_control start

It finally syncs/connects. PPPOA however takes a long time to come up after that (over one minute, ) whilst with previous firmare releases it used to take only a few seconds.

Something changed between r4883 (the last release I have built which is working fine) and r4940. I have not built thus I do not have the releases in between the two indicated.

I'm not able to reproduce the issue on boot.

But I had to notice that the line stays in idle status till I restart dsl_control if I physically disconnect and reconnect the xdsl modem.

I've reverted the commit which introduced the issue. I expect that your issue is fixed as well. Please test the latest snapshot and report back.

Thank you for looking into the matter

I built and flashed LEDE Reboot SNAPSHOT r4883-ce53c0e and the problem is resolved.
